Bush Cartoons

I remember back in 1997 when I first (was crazy enough) to embark on
a "career" in cartooning that I would do generic cartooning only. I
am really not that political. I tend to vote for the person and have
voted democrat, republican, and independent. Not that it matters or
anyone really cares.

But Bush makes me laugh (well a little bit); but I have to be honest in
that John Kerry made me laugh too.

Cartoonists look at politics a little differently than the average working
person; yes, we too are average working people, no better, no worse, but we
look at which politician is going to be the goofiest (and he/she gets our vote).

So I wrote the following press release today; it had attached pictures but I don't know how to put them up here, so I'll just post the press release as it appeared.

Sincerely,

CAPTURE HISTORY THIS HOLIDAY SEASON WITH THE KERRY/BUSH DEBATE COMMEMORATIVE

DESK OR WALL CLOCK...AND....YOU EACH HAVE TWO MINUTES!

Cartoon entrepreneur Rick London loves to repeat his favorite saying. “Those who do not

learn from history are doomed to repeat it......those who do not purchase a Kerry/ Bush Debate

Wall clock are doomed to tell time on a regular old watch or clock!”

Who of us can forget the opening lines from Bob Schieffer at the University Of Arizona in

1994. Nobody had a clue as to who would win this debate, or presidency. But what cartoonists

knew, said London, that no matter who won or lost, in this particular elections, cartoonists worldwide

would “win big”.

Shiffer started, “Good evening from Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. I'm Bob

Schieffer of CBS News. I want to welcome you to the third and last of the 2004 debates between

President George Bush and Senator John Kerry.”

“As Jim Lehrer told you before the first one, these debates are sponsored by the Commission on

Presidential Debates.”

“Tonight the topic will be domestic affairs, but the format will be the same as that first debate. I'll

moderate our discussion under detailed rules agreed to by the candidates, but the questions and the

areas to be covered were chosen by me. I have not told the candidates or anyone else what they are.

To refresh your memory on the rules, I will ask a question. The candidate is allowed two

minutes to answer. His opponent then has a minute and a half to offer a rebuttal.”

Now you can time AND TEST your own debating power with the authentic Londons Times Cartoons

Just working and you?

Well it is Monday morning and I am just working and studying.

I am wondering how sales are doing at Londons Times Superstore

http://www.londonstimessuperstore.com and trying my best to get

them going with ppc engines, blogging, etc. etc. It feels kind of

strange because the Internet offers no instant gratification; that is,

you do the work, you get paid. At least not in our business.

Funny T-Shirts Internet's Best Sellers

I hate bookkeeping, I love to create, but I have lived long enough
to know that even art is a business. We manufacturer our cartoon
creations on all kinds of products. I was just looking and our
funny tee shirts are by far the best sellers; even though we
sell all kinds of other gifts and collectibles such as mousepads,
clocks, ornaments, caps, water bottles, porcelain plates and such.
Are there other merchants out there noticing it? Of course we have
cheap tee shirts that are high quality so that could be one reason.

Funny Fishing Gifts Arrive At Londons Times Superstore

I love to fish. I'm 52 and it is one of the most fun things I do. I can
relax. I don't bring my cell phone, I rent a little fishing boat and I just
go out on one of the big lakes either alone or with a friend and can spend the
whole day there fishing. No matter how many I catch, I hate when it is over
and time to go home.

Thoughtful people always give me fishing gifts over the holidays. And I
appreciate them very much.

But I noticed that most fishing gifts are geared toward fishing, not something
you can have fun with as a collectible. So we at Londons Times Superstore
www.londonstimessuperstore.com decided to create items like tee shirts, moupepads,
clocks, key chains and countless others with really funny fishing-related cartoons
on them from my Londons Times Collection. I wish someone would give me one of them.
Each one is "a keeper".

Time To Ping Now

So what else can I do but ping. I remember back in the olden days
when we had to walk barefoot ten miles in the snow just to get to
a computer so that we could ping our blog.. Man those were the days.

My Ezine Articles

So I'm reading up on the Internet and learning that
with all I've learned about ppc, links, etc etc. that
ezine articles are the most effective way to drive traffic.

Well that bothered me a bit since I spent all that time learning
other methods of emarketing and then I thought to myself "Hey,
Rick..you love to write...why not simply write them?

So I did...to about 10 different ezine directories. The only
part I didn't like is that after you finish and submit it says
your article is being reviewed and can take from 4-6 weeks.

Well, my Londons Times Cartoon Superstore is mainly a gift and collectible
store and holiday shoppers flock to it. So the ezine article comes
out in January or Feburary of 2007. Am I a day late and a dollar short?
Or am I just getting more hard knocks and preparing for the holiday season
of 2007.

My grandmother Ruth London always used to say "You have to crawl before
you can walk." Yes grandma but what do I do about all these callouses (sp?)
on my palms and knees. This crawling thing gets old. Oh well. I chose
ecommerce as a profession. Might as well learn it the right way.
